Offline Mode | Express Inventory Transfer | Set Item Inventory

To Our Valued Clients:

After last month’s extremely short but noted server downtime, we here at First Choice POS have taken extensive steps to prevent this from being an issue again. This includes installing higher-end equipment, with constant backups.

One of the many exciting developments in this regard is an updated Offline Mode. This will allow you and your employees to continue working in the POS even if a server – or your own internet connection – is temporarily down.

I strongly recommend that you take a moment to test it. Disable your internet connection; in fewer than 20 seconds a yellow bar will appear at the bottom of the POS, advising that you are in Offline Mode. Try using it – and rest assured that we continue to do everything we can to provide you with a seamless, responsive POS experience to power your business.

Offline Mode

If the internet or a server is ever down, the POS will automatically enter Offline Mode. You will be able to use basic checkout functions – including searching items, searching customers, scanning items and completing transactions. It will then synchronize your actions as soon as your connection is restored. Try it and let us know what you think.


Express Inventory Transfer

Our new Express Inventory Transfer page makes transferring inventory between locations easier than ever. Case-loads of items can be efficiently scanned, one after another, and moved to a different location in the system. They can be designated directly to precise aisles and shelves. Call us to set it up for your business.


Set Item Inventory

Need to update the On Hand quantities for multiple items or take a physical inventory? The new Set Item Inventory page allows you to set what you actually have in stock. Items can be scanned or typed; the On Hand quantity will reflect how many you have, without doing an inventory transfer from Out or from another location.
