To ring up items in a checkout, make sure the Items tab is selected on top and the cursor (mouse) is in the Scan Items box at the bottom.
There are 3 ways to add an item to the sale:
1. Scan the item.
2. Search for the item using any information you have: item name, lookup code (UPC code), barcode, supplier, SKU code or alias.
3. Select the item shortcut from the panel on the right.
Items that are purchased frequently or are too small for a label can be saved as a shortcut on the right panel.
