Note: Gift cards must be entered as an item in the backend beforehand, with "Voucher" selected as the Item Type and "Must Enter Price" checked in the Pricing tab. this only needs to be done once.
To put money on a gift card:
1. Enter Gift Card as an item in checkout.
2. Enter the amount of money you’re putting on the card.
3. Scan the gift card or input the number on the card for the Voucher Number. If the voucher hasn’t been created in the system, generate it here.
Recommended: Add the Customer Name to the transaction so you can track the gift card.
Voucher reports give you all kinds of information about your gift card sales and usage, including who purchased a gift card and when, who used it, what transaction it was used for, and all gift card activity.
Refill a Card
To refill a card:
- Enter the Gift Card as an item in checkout.
- Respond to the prompts as for a regular gift card. A popup will confirm that you want to add money to the card.
