Advanced Returns

Advanced returns can be done efficiently in the advanced return page.

To process advanced returns:

  1. Select the Advanced Returns shortcut on the right panel of your POS. [If you don’t have one, speak to your administrator to add the feature.]
  2. Click inside the Scan Receipt field at the top right. Scan receipt or select Search Transaction to locate the receipt by:
    – date
    – customer
    – transaction number
    – transaction total
  3. Scanning the receipt automatically pulls up the customer. If you don’t have a receipt, press Select Customer to select from the customer list.

You can see full transaction details of the original purchase.


Return Items

To return items in the transaction:

  1. Locate the items you want to return.
  2. In the Return column, enter how many of the item you want to return. If it’s just one shirt, for example, enter 1. If you purchased 5 of that shirt and you want to return 4 of them, enter 4.
  3. To add a fee, type the amount in the Apply restocking fee all items field under the grid.

Return All

To return all items in the transaction, select Return All  above the grid.

The Return column will be filled for all items.


Finish Return

To complete the return, select Create New Return at the top of the page. Or select Add Items to Open POS Sale if you’re in the middle of a sale. This will bring the returned item into the POS so you can complete the transaction (and return money from the register, if applicable).
