Gift Card

Note: Gift cards must be entered as an item in the back end beforehand, with "Voucher" selected as the item type and "Must Enter Price" checked in the Pricing tab. This only needs to be done once.

To put money on a gift card:

  1. Enter gift card as an item in checkout.
    Use a shortcut such as “GC” to find the gift card item quickly
  2. Enter the amount of money you’re putting on the card.
  3. Scan the gift card or type the number on the card to enter voucher number.
  4. Add customer name so you can track the gift card.

Voucher reports give you all kinds of information about your gift card sales and usage, including who purchased a gift card and when, who used it, what transaction it was used for and all gift card activity.

Refill a Card

To refill a gift card:

  1. Enter the Gift Card as an item in checkout.
  2. Respond to the prompts as for a regular gift card. A popup will confirm that you want to add money to the card.
