Different people in your enterprise can be given different levels of permission in the system.
For example, cashiers can be restricted more than managers.
To create a security group (such as managers):
- Open your Dashboard
- Select Setup from the Main Navigation menu on the left
- Select Security Groups
- In the new screen, select an existing group or click + New Group
Group Info
- Input the Group Name, such as Managers, Cashiers, In-Store Associates, and Bookkeepers.
- Add a Description for this group (optional).
Group Users
Next you can see which individuals are in this group.
- To add or remove people, speak to your administrator.
Permissions
Set which permissions the users in this group are allowed and denied.
- Select the permission key you want to set. To selected multiple permission keys, hit CTRL while you select each one.
- Select Allow Selected or Deny Selected at the top of the section to set that permission key.
Note: If you select a permission that's already allowed, only the Deny Selected button will be active. If you select a permission that's already denied, only the Allow Selected button will be active.
To allow this group all permissions, select Allow All .
To deny this group all permissions, select Deny All .
