A group item is a group of items, such as a 3-piece suit, that can each be purchased separately as well.
To create a group item:
- Create an item in the system.
- Under Item Type on the right, select Group.
Add Items
To add items to the group:
- Go to the Group tab from the left of the Group Item page.
- Select Add Item at the top right. Select your items. They will be added to the list of Items in Group.
Note: You will need to create the items in the group first in order to add them to the group item.
Distribute Price
By default, the items will keep their original price. To re-price the individual items based on the total group item price:
- Select Distribute price at the top right.
- Enter the total item price (the price that you want to distribute among the items).
The price will be distributed among the items based on their original pricing: Items whose original price are more expensive will be more expensive, with the total adding up to the group item price.
Show Item Details
The items in a group can be set to show on the POS and receipts a) only the group item name, or b) the individual items.
