Matrix Editor

Changes to the name/attributes of pivot tables can only be done in the Matrix Editor.

  1. Open your Dashboard
  2. Select Items from the Main Navigation menu on the left
  3. Select Matrix 
  4. Select the Matrix you would like to edit

Matrix Info

In the Matrix Editor you can change elements of the matrix, including:

  • Matrix Name – change the name of the matrix
  • Base Item Name – change the base item name, so that all items in the matrix will use this as the base name, with the additional details added on. For example: Flower Dress (Knee-length, Green/Blue, Cotton). To apply the new name, click the checkbox for Rename All Items (on next save) on the lower right of the screen:
  • Base Lookup Code – change the base lookup code for all items: 428-22
  • Base Item – select which item in the system you want to use as the base item

Attributes

Add, remove and change attributes in the table:

To change attributes for individual items in the table:

  1. Select the individual item from the list on the left or by clicking Select  in the table below
  2. Change the attributes in the center box to the right of the item list

Add Items

  1. Search for an item that exists in the system
  2. Press Enter
  3. The item will be added to the item list on the left. Select it to apply attributes from the table

Delete Items

To remove items, select them on the left.

Click Remove Item from Matrix to take the item out of the pivot table.

Or Go to Item to open the item page and delete the actual item from the system, not just from the matrix/pivot table group.

Generate Items

To generate an item for an individual combination of attributes:

  • Click Generate in the square of the table for that combination of attributes
Generates an item for red, crew vest, grey

To generate an item for every combination of attributes:

  • Click Generate Items for All Attributes

This will generate an item for each square (cell) in the pivot table. For example, it will generate an item in all colors, all styles, all sizes, and all combinations of the above. Use with caution.
