We’re taking a moment here to highlight this feature because it’s quite a useful tool to have when you need it.
- Say you’re creating an order and realize you don’t need part of it until next month: Copy-paste to new order.
- Say you’re taking an order and need the same thing for a different customer: Copy-paste to new order.
- Say you’re ordering seasonal supplies and want to reorder from last year: Copy-paste to new order.
The copy-paste feature works with both customer orders and purchase orders. You can copy to a new order, copy to an existing order, or remove the items from this one and place in a different one. It can be the item selected, a list of checked items, or all items in the purchase order.
Try it and see how it works:
- While in an order (purchase order or customer order), right-click on the item you want to copy.
- Hover over Copy.
- Choose whether you want to copy only the Selected, all items Checked, or All items in the order.
- Click Copy to new to copy the items into a new order or Move to new to remove the items from this order and place it in the new one.
- A new order will open in a separate tab. Fill out the information for the new order as you normally would. Notice the copied items already placed in the order list.
- If you clicked Copy or Cut instead of “Copy to new,” you can simply right-click in the other order and select Paste.
- You also have the option to Duplicate the item to add it again in the same order.
