Troubleshooting

Having difficulty with your system? Try these solutions:

  1. Make it a habit to restart the POS every day. This resolves many perceived issues.
  2. Update the system whenever a new version is offered. This helps ensure that everything can be properly synced and has the latest improvements.
  3. When something doesn’t seem to update in the POS, hit CTRL+F5. This reloads the page and refreshes the cache, which might resolve the issue. If it doesn’t, close and restart the program.
  4. If the system is working slowly or freezes, see if something else is taking up space on the computer and slowing it down. Hit CTRL+SHIFT+ESC or CTRL+ALT+DELETE to locate the program that’s using a lot of memory and shut it down.
  5. If a printer, mouse, keyboard or any other device is not working or showing up on your computer, check if it’s plugged in and turned on. Sounds simple, but sometimes cables get loose or move around.
  6. Numbers not working? Press (or un-press) the Num Lock key above the number pad on your keyboard.
  7. If you’re trying to update information on a page and you get an error when you try to save changes, make sure all necessary fields are filled in. Sometimes an entry can’t be created or updated if a certain basic piece of information is missing. Example: You can’t add a new customer without a customer number.
  8. Make it a habit to close unused tabs. Leaving too many tabs open – whether for this system or any other webpage – uses a lot of memory and can slow you down.
  9. If you can’t figure out why you’re getting an error message, click the Report Page Error button at the bottom right of the page to notify our support team.
