Alterations, custom embroidery, engraving, dry cleaning, special sizes and other special orders can be tracked using the Order Service page.
To create a service order, use the -SO- tag on the right panel of the POS. It will automatically create an item you can see in the “Order Service” page. (If you don’t have this, speak to your agent to set it up.)
Track Service Order
The “Order Service” page allows you to track the order, update the status and more:
- Open your Dashboard.
- Select Transactions from the Main Navigation menu on the left.
- Select Order Service .
You will see a list of all service orders that have been created, including customer name, transaction number, transaction total, transaction balance, when it was created and whatever other fields are beneficial for your business. This page is highly customizable. You can print the service order receipt from here as well.
Order States
To update the status of your service order, select the dropdown in the State column and click the next state.
These states can be customized based on the order process in your business. For example, if you have several work stages that switch between different employees or functions, they can be added here as well. This way, everyone knows at a glance where in the process the order is holding.
You can also set whether the state triggers any actions, such as an email notification or text message.
Order Details
For additional details about the service order, click on the order in the list.
There you can see customer account information, special instructions, delivery information, and more.
