The business intelligence panel (BI panel) is an optional add-on to the left side of certain backend pages.
It contains widgets with advanced tools and information.
Insert Widgets
To add widgets to the BI panel:
- Open your Dashboard.
- Select Setup from the Main Navigation menu on the left.
- Select BI Setup.
- Select the page you want to insert a widget for (on the left).
- Double-click the widgets you want (on the right). They will be appear at the top center of the page.
- Widget settings will open at the bottom center when a widget is selected.
Available Widgets
There are numerous possible configurations. Here’s a partial list:
| Base / Sub Transaction | Supply or receive multiple shipments using separate transactions |
| Linked Orders | Orders and purchase orders connected to each other, especially for drop shipping |
| Linked Payments | Payments linked to this transaction |
| Transaction Readout | Reads the order aloud for you while you check against the original |
| Transaction Receiving (for POs) | Assigns reference numbers to items delivered in multiple shipments |
| Transaction Supplying (for Customer Orders) | Assigns reference numbers to items supplied in multiple shipments |
| TaxJar Calculation | Calculates sales taxes based on customer and order information |
| Txn Item Serialized | Select an item in the order and enter the serial number in the widget |
| Verify Totals | Verifies that the totals of the transaction match the expected total, and shows the difference (ex: input the cost and quantity from the supplier PO to see if it matches the order you’re looking at) |
| Attributes | Shows customer/supplier attributes, such as their designer and contractor; you can change these in the BI panel and it will effect only that order |
| Open Pages | Back-end pages currently in use |
| Action Pallet | Performs actions such as updating item names |
| Auto Calculate Price | Makes calculations based on categories, cost, MSRP, suppliers, or for specific locations (ex: when an item cost for XX supplier changes, the price will change) |
| Txn Custom Tax | Input a custom tax rate and it will be calculated in the order totals |
| Documents and Attachments | Attach related documents and other files |
| Transaction Discounts | Add and view discounts for the order; they can be applied to the full transaction or selected items |
